Here is a list of useful things I use for

Mental health

  • Headspace app - I use this for guided meditations and whenever I need a breather, or a break because vet med life can get pretty intense at times. You don’t need this app, but it’s great for beginners looking to get into meditation. It saved my life during final year exam season. Get 30 days free

  • Journaling - I try to do this daily, whenever I feel overwhelmed or worried about something, writing everything out with no judgement honestly makes me feel a whole lot better. Just reading all the thoughts I journalled puts things into perspective and helps me organise my thoughts. Grab a pen and paper and try it for yourself.

  • Vetlife - If you need a listening ear, someone to talk to who understands the vet world, this charity is there for you.

Clinical work

  • NOAH compendium - to refer to medicines, contraindications, doses.

  • BSAVA formulary app & compendium

  • ACVIM internal medicine references - good medical protocols

  • IVTEF epilepsy taskforce guidelines - for consensus on diagnostics, hierarchy of medications

  • Latest updates in small animals clinician’s brief - for any refresher of conditions

  • AAHA guidelines on IV fluid therapy, pain management, behavious management

  • Exotic animal general information - rabbit welfare fund, lafeber vets
